Privacy Policy

This is a courtesy translation of our Polish Privacy Policy, provided for the convenience of English-speaking visitors. The Polish version is the legally binding one — in the event of any discrepancy between the two texts, the Polish wording prevails. §1

In accordance with the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter the GDPR), as well as other generally applicable provisions of law concerning the protection of personal data, we undertake to preserve the security and confidentiality of the personal data we obtain.

We do not disclose the personal data obtained from Users to third parties, with the exception of entities cooperating with us, e.g. hosting companies, companies providing accounting services, and the like. In such cases the amount of data transferred to the cooperating companies is limited to the required minimum.

The personal data of Users that we hold may be disclosed to the competent public authorities where this is required by the applicable provisions of law.

The personal data we have obtained from Users are not transferred outside the European Economic Area.

Users have the following rights in connection with our processing of their personal data:

Where data are processed on the basis of consent, Users may additionally exercise the right to withdraw that consent to the extent that the data are processed on that basis. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal. To withdraw consent, please write to the e-mail address given in this privacy policy.

Where a User’s data are processed on the basis of consent, the User may exercise the right to personal data portability. The data may be transmitted to another data controller.

Server logs are the internal event logs of the website’s server, automatically recording the page requests that are sent when a User uses the website. System logs contain the page request sent by the User, the IP address, the browser type, the browser language, the date and time of the request, and at least one cookie file which may uniquely identify the User’s browser. The data gathered in the system logs are used for an indefinite period, solely for the purpose of administering the website. They are not transferred to third parties, save for the circumstances described in this document. In connection with Users’ use of the website, technical details concerning the manner in which the services are used, the IP address and technical data on the operation of the website in connection with the actions performed by the User may be collected and recorded automatically in the server logs. Information may also be collected in order to store it locally on the User’s device, using the browser’s storage mechanism.

The controller, or third parties by means of the cookies they administer, may use geolocation functionality, consisting in the gathering and processing of information about the User’s location. For this purpose the following data may be processed: the IP number, data from a GPS sensor, from a Wi-Fi access point or from mobile network base stations.

In the course of providing services to Users, professional technologies for gathering and recording information are used, such as cookies. These are commonly used, small files containing a string of characters, which are sent to and saved on the end device (e.g. computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone) used by the User when visiting the website. This information is sent to the storage area of the browser in use, which sends it back on subsequent visits to the website. Cookies contain information necessary for the proper use of the website. Most often they contain the name of the website they come from, the time they are stored on the end device, and a unique number. Access to data from cookies may also be held by external entities listed in point 14 of the Privacy and Cookies Policy.

Users who use services provided by electronic means via the website are asked to give their voluntary consent to the processing of cookies through the storage of information or the gaining of access to information already stored on their telecommunications end devices. Consent to the processing of cookies is given in particular by using a button containing a declaration of consent to the processing of cookies, or by confirming that its terms have been read. This consent may be withdrawn at any time, free of charge, in the manner described in the section concerning the management of cookies.

We process cookies on the basis of Article 173 of the Act of 16 July 2004 – Telecommunications Law (Journal of Laws of 2016, No. 0, item 1489, as amended).

The Service Provider’s cookies make it possible to recognise the User’s device and to display the website adapted to the User’s individual expectations, which makes using its functionalities easier and more pleasant. Thanks to these files being saved on the User’s device, it is possible, for example, to adapt the site to the User’s preferences, such as the arrangement of content, its language or its colour.

Google Adwords – these make it possible to run and assess the quality of advertising campaigns carried out using the Google Adwords service,

Google Analytics – these make it possible to assess the quality of advertising campaigns carried out using the Google Adwords service, as well as to study Users’ behaviour and traffic and to compile traffic statistics,

Google Maps – these make it possible to store information about the User which enables the use of the map functionalities available within the Google Maps service. Google Inc. may track the User’s location.

 

§15

This Privacy Policy applies only to the website www.renton.media.

The Data Controllers have implemented an appropriate level of security for the processing of personal data in the IT system.

The Controllers apply technical and organisational measures ensuring the protection of the personal data processed, appropriate to the risks and to the categories of data covered by protection, and in particular they secure the data against disclosure to unauthorised persons, removal by an unauthorised person, processing in breach of the applicable provisions, and alteration, loss, damage or destruction.
