Nortis - rebranding and communication concept
RebrandingOur work with Nortis began with a project to build a marketing strategy, along with a set of recommendations for the sales strategy and a customer service manual, back in 2017. Shortly afterwards we designed the communication and adapted a refreshed visual identity to fit it. Within a few months, further briefs from the client grew into a permanent, comprehensive partnership that continues today.
Nortis is a consortium of local ICT companies — multimedia service providers — who decided to operate under a single brand to strengthen their competitive position.
The first challenge in designing everyday communication for Nortis was building consistency across social media and the other channels, and working out how to give the company's USPs the right prominence. Planning the narrative and introducing repeatable elements kept randomness out of it and gave the brand a serious character.
The brand's potential rivals are not only other local companies but national giants offering similar services. That is precisely why the visual quality of the messaging had to be of the highest order from the start. Drawing on current trends while accentuating what is unique about the company became the through-line of most posts — hence the careful choice of typefaces, the evolution of the colour palette and the introduction of other graphic elements.
Another key element of the communication became emphasising the company's local character and its open, approachable attitude to customers. The strapline helps here, as does a set of icons illustrating the brand's competitive advantages. Photographs from the customer service offices or from fieldwork get woven into the communication from time to time as well. The company is an active participant in local community life too.

For all its local character, Nortis is a fairly demanding client, including on the social media side. The communication has to be high-quality and standardised on one hand, and homely and close to the audience on the other. A long-running partnership is one piece of evidence that we manage to combine the two neatly.
